Estela Carrera-Infante
Estela has vast experience as a parent educator. She was recognized for her contributions to parent education when she was selected by a team representing the Washington State Department of Health and Washington Department of Social and Health Services to serve as the lead in a film series for parents entitled Platica De Autoestima. This six part TV series based on the work of Jean Illsley Clarke, noted parent educator and author, was not only broadcast on PBS stations all across Washington State but it was also distributed all across the US and to select outlets outside the U.S. Following the development of the TV series, Estela assumed the lead role in composing a leader’s guide as well as a series of photo novellas to supplement the original TV series. She continues to remain actively involved in parent education, offering her services to parent education programs throughout the U.S.
