Our Mission

Why we do what we do

Kindness can be accomplished in many ways, the central idea is to improve all our lives. There are different ways to be kind in small ways such as a smile, thank you, and encouragement. Yet it is most important that our acts of kindness unite us and form strong communities that make anyone feel comfortable.

The kindness project aims to accomplish these basics of kindness to improve the state of our world.

Azura M., Youth Board Member

This kindness project aims to outline a key moral in life; that expressing kindness is a crucial practice to abide by; one which can collectively unite us as humans and help us to change the world for the better.

Photography Project

This is a simple photography project in which I hope to inspire others to be kind to our environment because it is so beautiful and so desperately needs our help to stay this way.”

Love Your Local is a business that is creating discount cards for customers to be able to use at local restaurants and cafes in the Nelson region in New Zealand to help the hospitality industry gain more customers after the ones they lost from the effects of Covid-19. We aim to get the industry more customers by providing locals with discounts to these restaurants in the short term while hopefully helping the business owners to gain a higher sales margin in the future.

Kindness is…

Comforting a friend when he’s feeling bad,
Or making a present for someone who’s sad.
It is helping people out, with no selfish desire.
And this can turn the spark into a fire.

The fire burns bright across the land
And slowly, kind acts can start to expand.
So if you are ever feeling blue,
Keep your heart whole and true.

Kindness will help our whole planet, too.
And anyone can do it-starting with you.

Planting…

I planted plants as a way to show kindness to the earth.

Kindness

Kindness can be represented many ways and individuals find it shown differently. These photos show how abstract photos can relate to kindness because of the feelings they cause.

Photos for Ukraine – A Youth Board Project

A project that we’ve done has been taking photos of blue and yellow, the Ukrainian flag’s colors. These colors remind us of Ukraine and show how we continuously think of and support Ukraine and Ukrainians, even in everyday moments.
